Join the WABA Trail Ranger team, Anacostia Watershed Society and Washington Parks & People for an Earth Day cleanup of Marvin Gaye Park. (Well, almost Earth Day since we’re celebrating on Saturday.)
The Marvin Gaye Trail corridor is home to a lot of trees and birds but also collects trash that gets swept down the creek during storms. We’ll bring lots of trash bags, trash grabbers, gloves and tools!
Please bring a water bottle and wear long pants/closed toed shoes. For more adventurous folks with a sturdy pair of boots, there will be opportunities for scrambling around stream banks. There will also be plenty of trash removal on flatter ground for folks who don’t wish to scramble around.
