The eighth annual Festival Del Rio Anacostia will be taking place September 30th, from 10am to 4pm at Bladensburg Waterfront Park! Festival Del Rio Anacsotia is a family friendly, bilingual festival that focuses on celebrating the outdoors and the Anacostia River. From hands activities, crafts, entertainment, delicious food, and more, there’s something for everyone!
Free events include:
· Fishing (fishing license required for those over 16 year of age)
· Rowing demonstrations
· Prize giveaways
· Opportunities to see live fish and birds
· Nature walks
· Various opportunities to learn about the Anacostia River and watershed.
Free educational opportunities involving the environment, homeowner incentive programs, water quality, drinking water, and personal health will also be taking place during the festival. Along with these free activities, there will be volunteer opportunities for those who are looking for school volunteer hours or anyone who want to help make a positive impact on the Anacostia watershed.
