Parks Playhouse Summer Concert Series: Melissa Quinn Fox

She may not have grown up with Southern roots, but rising singer/songwriter Melissa Quinn Fox uses her honest, story-driven lyrics, expressive vocals, and captivating live performances to deliver a blend of country and Americana music that is as relatable as it is authentic.

While reviewers have described her vocals as “gritty, gorgeous, and a sound all her own,” Melissa draws inspiration from influence such as Stevie Nicks, Patsy Cline, Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, and Natalie Merchant. Growing up singing in church and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theatre opened the door for the artist hailing from Pittsburg, PA to travel and perform at theme parks in the United States and Europe while developing her own artistic niche.

Since 2021, the hardworking musician has released a self-titled EP and ten well-received singles. Melissa has been a featured guest on Fox5 and WUSA9 TV morning shows in the Washington, D.C area, while her music has been played on national and international radio. A member of ASCAP and the Songwriters Guild of America, she is a four-time Musicianship Wammie Award Winner for Best Country/Americana Song, Album, and Artist in 2023 and Best Country/Americana Song in 2023.

Playing over 150 live shows a year, Melissa has opened for artists such as Jerrod Niemann, Tyler Farr, Sam Grow, and Chase Bryant. In 2022 she performed at the Barefoot Country Music Festival in Wildwood, NJ alongside Jason Aldean, Chris Janson, Locash, Pricilla Block, and Earnest.

Currently promoting her latest single Slow Down with her first music video to be released late April 2023, listeners can look forward to a full tour schedule and more new music in 2023.
