Join the Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS) for a celebratory Freshwater Mussel Release in Kingman Lake, where we'll be releasing the 35,000th mussel! We plan to have some speakers, dignitaries, and media at this event. Volunteers will help AWS to release the freshwater mussels into Kingman Lake. We will provide waders for this event, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have a pair!
