Join us for an evening walk before sunset in Kestrel Meadow, under the power lines that cross Sligo Creek. There are surprises in the corners of this wide open space -- even an uphill wetland if you look closely! We'll study and discuss many native plants that thrive here. We might also encounter butterflies, birds, fungi, maybe a turtle?? We'll all share what we know about the species we find.
We will gather back at our old location: 7100 block of 16th Place, Hyattsville, at the metal gate. Our walks are free. Bring binoculars if you have some.
We will follow the CDC guidelines that do not require masks for fully vaccinated persons outdoors, but recommends masks for those not fully vaccinated
