Early Morning Winter Bird Walk in BARC led by our local expert Michel Cavigelli. We will meet at 8am at the BARC (Beltsville Agricultural Research Center) Log Lodge. Note that the gate on Powder Mill will be closed, so you have to arrive by the South, i.e., by Beaver Dam Rd. We will have a BARC permit to do this walk.

Bring binoculars and - as always - dress for the weather and ticks.

We will bird near the lodge for 1/2h THEN MOVE TO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, so please do not arrive later than 8:30am. If you arrive later and we are gone, you can attempt to reach Catherine Plaisant via Messenger or post on the EVENT page. We will do our best to monitor the messages but be aware that we will mostly be paying attention to the birds and not our phones so cannot guarantee that we will be able to give you directions to our location - in short: best to be on time.

We will bird till 11AM but you will be able to leave anytime.
