Join Montgomery Parks Natural Resources/ Vegetation Management Staff and help us plant 600 native seedling plugs (young native plants) in our newly created Sligo meadow! This is the newest Sligo meadow that we started working on in May 2020 and we are ready to plant this fall!
Please wear long pants that cover your ankles, long sleeves, and sturdy, closed-toed shoes. Bring gloves and small shovels if you have them. Gloves and tools are available to borrow if you don’t have your own. No power tools or machetes allowed. Please bring water to drink. Please note: Court Ordered Volunteer Hours can’t be granted through this workday.
This event is capped at 30 people and is for people 18 years or older.
All volunteers must register online and complete a COVID-19 Volunteer Waiver. If you do not sign/ agree to the waiver, you cannot volunteer during this native planting event. You will complete your waiver when you create a profile in the Montgomery Parks Volunteer Database, during the online registration.
