Through the Anacostia River Discovery Series, the Anacostia Watershed Society hosts free weekly recreational programming from May to September. Explore the river while riding in one of our open-air motorized boats. Learn about the natural and cultural history of the Anacostia River on a guided, two-hour tour of the river. All ages welcome. Registration is required and limited for these events. This boat tour is supported by revenue raised from the DC Bag Bill and provided by the District Department of Energy and Environment.
