The National Park Service is putting on a giant festival at Fort Totten/Fort Circle Park to celebrate National Park Week and their Park Prescription program. The Washington Area Bicyclist Association Trail Ranger team is kicking it off with a mini parks tour starting with the Anacostia Park as we connect some of the great recreation options available in DC.
We’ll show you ways of connecting the popular Anacostia River Trail and Metropolitan Branch Trail and see some not so obvious parks and creative ways folks use the urban environment to be active. We’ll end at Fort Totten Park where there will be a field full of programming hosted by National Park Service!
We expect to arrive at Fort Totten at the end of the ride at 1:00 pm with approxiamtely an hour of riding. More information about National Park Rx Day can be found here.
